Ford first mentioned its plans to build an electric F-150 back in 2019 — now the truck has finally arrived.
The Blue Oval will debut the battery-powered F-150 Lightning Wednesday night and you can tune in to watch the whole thing.
Although we got a glimpse of the truck on Tuesday during Joe Biden’s visit to Ford’s headquarters, we should be able to see it in full — and learn about details like range, power, pricing, and trim levels — during tonight’s event.
Ford has kept its cards close to the chest, but it’s teased some details about the Lighting over the years, and especially in recent months. We know it’ll be the most powerful F-150 in Ford’s current lineup, it’ll be powered by two electric motors, and it’ll be able to power things like tailgating accoutrements and power tools.
It’s all scheduled to go down at 9:30 p.m. EST at Ford’s Dearborn, Michigan, headquarters, and will be livestreamed across several platforms.
