Jadakiss Holds Food Giveaway In Yonkers, New York In Honor Of DMX

As we are just a few days away from the memorial of the icon DMX, fans have continued to show him love, as they keep his legacy alive. Not just fans, but rappers have also gone above and beyond to make his presence be felt. Earlier today, his former Ruff Ryder labelmate, Jadakiss, who is also a member of the rap group The Lox, did an act of service in his honor by giving food away to the community in Yonkers, New York, which is their hometown.

Jadakiss shared an Instagram video announcing that he was at the Palisades Towers Complex. According to the Municipal Housing Authority for the City of Yonkers website, the Palisades Towers Complex is located in the downtown Yonkers area. The complex has several buildings that are eight stories tall. In the video, he urged residents to come out to grab some free food. “Come through, get you a box of vegetables, fruits, all types of s**t, ” Jadakiss said. He even called out fellow Lox member Styles P in the video, asking him where he was. A local entrepreneur, Smooveasy21, caught footage of Jadakiss giving out several boxes of food in the community and shared the video on Instagram.

Jadakiss had a line down the block as people showed up and waited for the free items. Jadakiss was even kind enough to stop and take pictures with residents that came down. Whenever a celebrity gives back to any community, everyone shows them a lot of love in our comments. Tyrese stepped into The Shade Room and commented, “KINGS WILL BE KINGS!!!!!!!!! X aka prophet rest easy king!”

Akbar V also stepped in and left a comment. She wrote, “Why @jadakiss never gotten that Grammy for making the song, “Why?” As we reported earlier, she shouted him out on her latest freestyle that she did for “Bars On i95.”

Good job Jadakiss, we’re sure DMX would’ve been proud!
