Kenosha, Wisconsin & Austin, Texas The Site Of Mass Shootings That Left A Total Of Six People Dead In Less Than 24 Hours – The Shade Room

#Roommates, following the devastating mass shooting that occurred at an Indianapolis warehouse that left eight people dead only a few days ago—sadly, similar incidents have also occurred at two other U.S. cities. According to reports, Kenosha, Wisconsin and Austin, Texas were both the sites of deadly mass shootings that claimed the lives of a total of six people.

@CNN reports, local authorities in Kenosha, Wisconsin are currently investigating the recent mass shooting at a local bar that left three people dead and two others injured. According to Kenosha County Sheriff David G. Beth, the shooter in the case is still at large regarding the incident that involved gunfire breaking out at The Somers House Tavern at 12:40 AM on April 18th. “It sounds like one person got removed from the establishment and possibly came back a short time later and started shooting. We don’t believe this was a random act. I don’t believe that the people in this area are in harm’s way because of the suspect still not being captured.”

Meanwhile, over in Austin, Texas, three people were pronounced dead at the scene of a mass shooting at the Great Hills Plaza and The Arboretum shopping center. An active shooting was reported earlier this afternoon and the manhunt for the shooting suspect is currently underway. Austin police spoke about the tragic shooting, alerting fellow residents to avoid the area. “All residents are advised to shelter in place. All assets staged & prepared to enter into the immediate incident location. This is still an active scene, please continue to avoid the area,’ police said.

These shootings come just 48 hours after eight people were killed in a mass shooting at a local Indianapolis Fed Ex warehouse facility. Additionally, based on updated data from CNN, the U.S. has suffered at least 47 mass shootings since March 16th, which was the heartbreaking situation in Atlanta where several Asians were killed at three local Atlanta-area spas.

The frequency of the mass shootings have reignited the already heated discussion of stricter gun laws and gun control reform, which President Biden recently addressed.
