A Dorset software company has added to its technical and consultancy services with the acquisition of an IT security solutions provider.
Christchurch-based Pro2col has announced a deal for London consultancy Advanced Cyber Solutions (ACS), which specialises in secure, managed file transfers.
Independent IT firm Pro2col, founded in 2004, provides a wide range of services to a variety of sectors, with a global client base including KPMG, the NHS, Prudential and TalkTalk.
Pro2col confirmed that as part of the agreement ACS director Chris Payne would be joining the business as technical director.
The company said Mr Payne’s appointment would help it to evolve into a broader data integration consultancy and support its continued growth.
Pro2col added that the two company’s combined customer base will benefit from a “wider scope of knowledge and expertise” gained across a greater range of industries and regions.
Pro2col founder and managing director James Lewis said: “I have been in contact with Chris Payne at ACS for many years and have been really impressed with the growth and reputation he has built.
“His expertise in the managed file transfer domain, coupled with his wider information security product knowledge, is the perfect fit. I’m delighted that Chris is joining the team as our Technical Director for this very exciting time at the company.
“We’re looking forward to getting to know his customers and supporting their requirements together.”
Mr Payne added that he was “excited” to be bringing ACS and its customers into the Pro2col group, which he said had “renowned and exemplary technical expertise.”
