Publisher, ID firm and retailer named in Tech 50 – as 20 to 11 revealed

Godel, K3 and Cloud Technology Solutions (CTS) are next to be named in our Greater Manchester Tech 50 list as the big countdown continues.

Today, EY, BusinessLive and the Manchester Evening News have released numbers 20 to 11 of our list – revealing the city region’s biggest players in the tech field.

That’s ahead of a special roundtable discussion on Friday – to be attended by a panel of top industry experts.

Building up to the event, we are revealing the Greater Manchester Tech 50 list in five parts. It began on Monday, when Stockport-based wearable dust monitoring device maker Trolex and Bolton-based telecoms specialist Firstcom were named among numbers 50-41.

Then, on Tuesday, we saw a top games developer and prominent cloud firm included in numbers 40 to 31.

On Wednesday, MediaCityUK-based Dock10 – the filming location and post-production site for huge TV shows including Match of the Day – were named in our 30 to 21 list, alongside Covid testing and molecular diagnostics group Yourgene Health.

Our Greater Manchester Tech 50 list is being revealed this week

Our Tech 50 list continues below – with numbers 20 to 11:

20. LADBible Group Ltd

The social media and entertainment publisher founded in 2012 and known for its viral videos is next in our list. Earlier this year, it was reported by Sky News that the publisher plans to float with a £400m valuation.

19. Vodat Communications Group [VCG Technology Services Ltd]

A firm bringing together managed IT solutions and managed connectivity, Stockport-based VCG claims to partner with organisations to deliver growth, agility and “best in class” customer experience.

18. FourNet Technologies Ltd

FourNet is a Stretford-based provider of cloud and contact centre solutions. Its technology is used by both public and private sector bodies – with Government bodies including 10 Downing Street, the Cabinet Office, Treasury and Food Standards Agency.

17. Godel Technologies Ltd

Manchester-headquartered software development company Godel is next in our Tech 50 list. Operating out of Manchester and in various global locations, it reported a record 2019 as revenues soared by 64% – the fifth year in a row where growth exceeded 50%.

16. Cloud Technology Solutions Ltd

Manchester-based Cloud Technology Solutions (CTS) claim to be Europe’s largest dedicated Google Cloud managed service provider – and employs hundreds of people in the North West, London, Edinburgh and Utrecht. It has worked with organisations including Ladbrokes-Coral Group plc, HomeServe plc, Roadchef and Manchester City Council.

15. Euro Options Ltd

Euro Options is a leading European distributor of IT hardware to the continent’s top resellers. Based in Rochdale, the firm has a stock inventory of over £8m and has made £700m in sales over 20 years in business.

14. K3 Business Technology Group Plc

Listed Salford-based software firm K3 is next in our big countdown, with its turnover dropping below the £50m mark in 2020 after having recorded consecutive years of near-£80m revenues. The firm, which provides business software, cloud solutions and managed services, appointed a new CEO earlier this year.

CDL is a market leader in selling software solutions for high-volume retail insurance operations. Founded in 1977 and based in Stockport, it aims to create cutting-edge technology solutions for the biggest brands.

12. M247 Ltd

M247 is a firm offering cloud and hosting network solutions for businesses, with coverage across the UK, Europe and the US. Based in Hulme, it claims to offer one of the most extensive internet exchange footprints in the world connected to key financial hubs from London to Tokyo.

11. Domu Brands Ltd

A home, kitchen and garden retailer whose e-commerce sites include VonHaus.com and BTFY.com, Domu just misses out on our Tech 50 top 10. Based in Salford and a former MEN Business Awards winner, Domu earlier this year transitioned to employee ownership following a record financial performance.
