Boxing tonight: TV channels, live streams, start times and fight cards

It’s one of the biggest fight cards of the year at Headingley tonight when Josh Warrington takes on Mauricio Lara on a card that also features the likes of Katie Taylor, Conor Benn and Ebanie Bridges

Floyd Mayweather boasts of earning $100m for “fake fight”

There have been very few more exciting fight nights this year than tonight’s action at Headingley.

Hometown hero Josh Warrington was stunned by Mauricio Lara earlier this year in what was viewed as little more than a tune-up fight by many, and has opted for an immediate rematch against the Mexican.

Circumstances will be different this time; Warrington will be buoyed by tens of thousands of his home fans at the Leeds cricket ground, and won’t be distracted by talks of future bouts with Can Xu or Gary Russell Jr.

However, Lara will be confident in his ability to stop the hometown fighter after a brutal and dominant performance in their last outing, and earn his own way to big title fights.

Joining the two featherweights on the card are the legendary multiple-weight world champion Katie Taylor, as well as the return of Conor Benn and the divisive Ebanie Bridges.

Here’s everything you need to know about tonight’s fights:

What time are the fights on?

The ring walks for the main event are expected at 10pm UK time on Saturday night, with the stacked fight card kicking off at 7pm.

Warrington : “What happened on February 13 happened, it was a hard lesson to take but this is where the next stage goes on, the next chapter begins.

“I’ve been about the game a long time and I can’t wait to redeem myself.

“I take Lara very seriously, I think the first time he said that he saw fear in my eyes, there’s not fear in there I was just looking straight through him.

“I didn’t think that he could bring what he delivered and that’s my mistake, that’s me being too cocksure of myself.

“I won’t make that same mistake again; I have the fear factor about this one.”

Lara: “I hope everyone is well, we have to think now that February 13 February is in the past.

“I’m now completely and 100 per cent focused on putting on a good show on Saturday.

“I’m prepared not 100 per cent, but 1000 per cent – perhaps people didn’t know me previously.

“But they do now in certain areas, there’s going to be a repeat of what happened – there are no surprises in life.”
