CCTV of missing Scots dad at KFC as ‘desperate’ family ‘praying’ he’s found

CCTV footage of a missing Scots dad has emerged as his family are ‘desperate to get him home’.

We told how Kevin Hanley was last seen in the Cameron Toll area of Edinburgh around 9pm on Saturday, October 9.

Police were contacted and launched an appeal for information on Sunday morning.

Kevin was later spotted on CCTV at a KFC in Edinburgh city centre.

The dad can be seen ordering food from a self-service machine at the fast food joint in St Andrew’s Square.

Kevin Hanley’s daughter said his disappearance is ‘totally out of character’.

The footage was captured at around 6pm on Sunday and he hasn’t been seen anywhere else since.

His daughter, Louise, said her dad’s disappearance is ‘totally out of character’ and his loved ones are ‘praying they find him’.

She told the Record: “My dad is still missing, we have had a confirmed sighting at 6pm last night at KFC in St Andrews Square, Edinburgh, but nothing since.

“We’re desperate to get him home.

“This is totally out of character for him.

“Praying we find him.”

At the time of Kevin’s disappearance he was wearing a light blue shirt without a collar, denim jeans and cowboy boots.

On Sunday morning, police urged anyone with information to come forward.

A police spokesperson told the Record: “I can confirm that we received a report of a missing man this morning, enquiries are ongoing.”

“Anyone with information is asked to call the police on 101, quoting incident number 1220 of Saturday October 9.”
