Curtis Pritchard suggests Strictly should ‘remove pros who are refusing jab’

It’s been claimed that three professional dancers on this year’s Strictly Come Dancing have chosen not to have the Covid vaccination

Curtis Pritchard has said he thinks Strictly Come Dancing bosses should remove the professional dancers who have chosen not to have the Covid jab.

According to reports, three pros taking part in this year’s series have made the decision not to get vaccinated – which has apparently led to celebrities refusing to dance with them.

Speaking on Good Morning Britain on Thursday alongside his brother AJ, Curtis aired his thoughts and offered up a solution to the problem.

“I hope the show can go on, I really, really do,” he told GMB hosts Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway.

“It’s a fantastic show and I just hope they don’t pull the show, and there’s always reserve professionals on there isn’t there?

“So if they’re thinking of pulling the show, I don’t think that should happen, maybe remove the pros who are refusing the jab,” Curtis continued.

Kate was about to interject, when Curtis quickly added: “But not get rid of them, not fire them, not at all I don’t think, because there’s always reserve pros on the show, so bring in the ones who have had the jab for this year and the show can go on and move forward.”

AJ, who used to be a professional dancer on Strictly Come Dancing, was keen to give his opinion on the subject too.

“All I can say is our actions speak louder than words,” he told Ben and Kate.

“We’ve gone and helped at vaccination centres and we’re both double jabbed.”

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
