The Stamford Bridge outfit should take advantage of Mo Salah’s contract situation at Liverpool, according to Didier Drogba, while N’Golo Kante could be about to leave
Chelsea are heading into what could be a huge transfer window for the club.
The Blues are facing something of a contract crisis with several stars set to see their deals at Stamford Bridge expire at the end of the season, and there could be more of the same in 2023 as well.
It means Chelsea will either need to get those players to commit their futures to the club or find replacements as quickly as possible.
The club has been in similar situations before, of course.
When Mohamed Salah wasn’t getting the game time he wanted at Stamford Bridge he moved on to Roma, and it proved to be a huge mistake by the club.
And now one club legend is calling for the Blues to take advantage of his contract turmoil to bring him back to Chelsea.
Here are all the latest Chelsea transfer rumours.

Salah set to return?
Chelsea icon Didier Drogba has called for the club to bring Mohamed Salah back to Stamford Bridge.
Salah will be out of contract at the end of next season, and Drogba wants his former club to take advantage of the uncertainty surrounding his future.
PSG ‘look at’ N’Golo Kante
In an interview with TalkChelsea, transfer don Fabrizio Romano said the player’s contract situation is yet to be discussed with the Blues, but other clubs are interested.
“Kante and Chelsea are not talking about a new contract as of now but it’s one of the things that Chelsea have on their agenda,” Romano said.
“I think that’s the plan with Kante long term. But you know with these kinds of players, with top clubs looking for midfielders, as I said before with the strikers, this year will be a big, big summer for midfielders.
“PSG and many other clubs will be looking for them – so let’s see what happens.”
Kounde backed for Blues
Joules Kounde could be on his way to Chelsea, although the club will have to wait until next summer according to Gus Poyet.
The Chelsea legend managed the defender during his time at Bordeaux in 2018, and was very impressed.
Poyet told Genting Casino: “I think he’s got the quality to come to a top team in England – I’ve got no doubt. And if it’s Chelsea – even better, because I would like to see him, and I would like him to play for Chelsea.
“He wants to improve all the time, he listens to the coach, he wants to train. He is very powerful, a very special boy, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s coming to England next summer.”
