Emma Corrin and Billy Porter lead Emmy Awards 2021 stand-out red carpet outfits

Stars took to the red carpets in Los Angeles and London as the 73rd Emmy Awards got underway on Sunday night

The stars were out in their force once again on a night to celebrate the best of television.

The biggest names, including nominees and presenters, have began to descend on the red carpets in both London and Los Angeles for the 73rd Emmy Awards.

And the stars looked fabulous in their range of designs, from the sleek and subtle, to the more outlandish looks.

English actress Emma Corrin led the glamour in the UK as they arrived at Soho House in London.

The 25-year-old was joined by fellow stars of The Crown Gillian Anderson and Olivia Colman.

Emma, who plays Princess Diana in the hit series, donned a stunning sleeveless yellow dress and complimented the look with fingers gloves and a matching head cap.

The gloves showcased a prominent and sharp-looking black manicure.

Gillian, who plays Margaret Thatcher, showed off her toned abs in a white crop top together with a matching maxi skirt. The elegant design was topped off by the actress’ wavy locks.

The series and its stars are up for a slurry of awards at the ceremony, including Emma and Olivia, who plays the Queen, going against each other for Outstanding Lead Actress In A Drama Series.

Over in LA at LA LIVE, Pose star Billy Porter was among the first to arrive as he stepped out in an eye-catching black outfit.

The 51-year-old is well known for his daring choice of attire and certainly didn’t disappoint as he wore an all black suit with big ruffled sleeves and a huge diamond necklace.

Carl Clemons-Hopkins also turned heads stateside. The actor, who has been nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for his role in Hacks, wowed in an Aladdin-esque outfit.

The off-the-shoulder number showcased a white shirt before having a purple wrap around which draped to the floor with additional gold.

Other stars who opted for a more toned down approach looked just as magnificent.

Seth Rogen also chose brighter colours as he rocked a bright orange blazer and bow tie combo.

The actor will be presenting the award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series and certainly doesn’t appear to want to be outdone.
