Former Love Island star Georgia Harrison recently completed a two week bootcamp programme in the UK after ‘an unbalanced lifestyle’ and ‘multiple set-backs’ left her on the brink of burn out
Reality TV star Georgia Harrison checked into a detox bootcamp after suffering from “burn out” following “multiple set-backs” in life.
The former Love Island star recently completed a two-week programme devoted to fitness and wellbeing in Norfolk and admits she needed to reset due to “pressure, multiple set-backs and a general unbalanced work hard play lifestyle.”
Discussing her experience at the retreat, where she stayed alongside her mother, the 26-year-old star revealed she felt “full of energy and mentally and physically strong” following the stint.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, Georgia explained to her 1.1 million followers how a daily regime of structured work-outs from former military fitness trainers and “macronutrient” meals helped her “remember who I really am.”
“Over the last week and a half I have been at No 1 Bootcamp in Norfolk spending some well-needed time working on my mental and physical wellbeing,” the star began on her Stories.
“Everything was getting too much for me with lots of pressure, multiple set-backs and a general unbalanced lifestyle consisting of going out too much, over working and constantly fighting to keep up with a lifestyle that was leading me to burn out.
“Being here has been the most amazing blessing in every way possible. It’s enabled me to remember who I really am, that putting myself first is okay and how much more potential I have when I’m not drinking (even though only a couple of times a week socially it still was affecting my energy and mood levels especially with the added stresses of my current life situation).”
She continued: “I’ve been training from 6am – 4pm with small breaks in between, I’ve been eating a completely clean, controlled diet with only one coffee allowed a day and tonnes of water/herbal teas.”
The Challenge star then revealed that mum Nicola, 54, had joined her at the resort in Heacham, near Kings Lynn.
“I’ve been blessed to have my mum join me for part of my ongoing journey and the support of the absolutely unbelievably enthusiastic, caring and supportive trainers that make this place so special,” the Essex born babe continued.
“”It’s left me feeling mentally and physically strong, full of energy from morning until night and completely changed my habits.”
The Ex on the Beach star then went on to recommend that anyone ‘who lost control of their mental stability or physical ability during lock down’ to look into completing a similar programme.
“You can’t help others unless you are living at your own full potential, remember that and implement it either at a place like this or in your own disciplined way,” she told her online fans on Wednesday.
Georgia first rose to fame in 2017, when she appeared on the third series of ITV2 dating show Love Island.
Since then, the stunning star has appeared in multiple other reality TV shows – as well as carving a successful career out for herself online as an influencer and YouTube vlogger.
