Rob Gronkowski trolls ‘blacked out’ Tom Brady in Stanley Cup Twitter exchange

Rob Gronkowski has entered the chat.

The Buccaneers tight end joined the hilarious Twitter exchange between teammate Tom Brady and the Stanley Cup account Friday, and trolled Brady’s boozy Super Bowl celebration in February.

After the Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the Montreal Canadiens to close out the Stanley Cup Finals 4-1 at home on Wednesday, the Stanley Cup Twitter account tweeted at Brady, “FYI I’m too heavy to throw” — s nod to Brady’s viral Vince Lombardi toss during Tampa Bay’s Super Bowl 2021 boat parade in February.

In a follow-up tweet, the Stanley Cup account tagged Gronkowski and wrote, “… and catch,” although it was actually Gronkowski’s fellow tight end Cameron Brate who caught Brady’s Lombardi toss.

Brady was first to reply to Lord’s Stanley Cup’s joke, writing, “Idk…everything feels a bit lighter after some tequila” — TB12’s admitted drink of choice at the boat-clad bash.

On Friday, Gronkowski chimed in on Twitter: “Everything feels like feathers when you’re blacked out,” he wrote.

For context, the Stanley Cup weighs 34.5 pounds, as opposed to the Lombardi Trophy, which weighs seven pounds.

After Brady won his seventh Super Bowl ring in February, when the Bucs beat the Chiefs 31-9, he appeared to have one too many drinks during the team’s boat celebration.

His backup quarterback, Ryan Griffin, was famously spotted escorting an intoxicated Brady to land, as the 43-year-old stumbled past cameras and Bucs fans.

In response to the video, Brady seemingly drunk-tweeted: “Noting to see her…just litTle avoCado tequila.”

A few weeks after Tampa’s boat parade, Brady appeared on “The Late Late Show” with James Corden, where he had a good laugh over the viral video.

“It was definitely a moment of celebration, I’m happy I’m on land at that point, absolutely,” he said laughing, before sharing high praise to his pal, Griffin.

“Happy I’m being surrounded by my fellow quarterback Griff — the right place at the right time. Who could have a friend better than that? Making sure I was just so comfortable walking off the boat like that.”
