Love Island 2021 star Chloe Burrows explained to Laura Whitmore why the girls did not interfere in Faye Winter’s fiery outburst on movie night
The show saw a number of islanders interviewed by Laura about their time in the show, including couple Faye and Teddy Soares.
Faye’s expletive-ridden outburst following the movie night challenge prompted a record-breaking number of Ofcom complaints about the series.
Reflecting on her behaviour – which she has already apologised profusely to Teddy for – on the reunion show, Faye admitted she too would have complained about the moment.
Faye said: “There would have been another complaint if I’d watched it back too…from myself. I would have been complaining about it too. Not one of my finest moments.”
Teddy commented: “Living in the moment it was painful to see how she was hurt.”
He added: “But we’ve moved on so far from it, like, it’s unreal.”
Faye explained that it was a “mix of emotions for all of the girls” and “everyone got the wrath of me”.
She then apologised to all of the islanders present in the studio.
Laura then questioned why the girls had not tried to calm Faye down and diffuse the situation, directing the question to Faye’s pal Chloe Burrows.
In response, series runner-up Chloe said: “We were terrified. No one wanted to get in the way of the wrath of Faye, so we were hiding.”
She added with a nervous laugh: “We weren’t getting involved, it was terrifying.”
The interview with Faye and Teddy ended sweetly, however, as he referred to her as an “amazing girlfriend” and that he loves her.
