Josh Christie may be making a name for himself on Married At First UK, but the ex-model was once the star of London Fashion Week strutting his stuff in some seriously outlandish outfits
Married At First Sight UK’s Josh Christie looks unrecognisable in a string of London Fashion Weeks shots taken from his former modelling days.
The Londoner, who married Amy Christophers on the reality show, walked the runway at the iconic fashion event in 2016 in a series of jaw-dropping outfits.
In a post shared on his Instagram page, Josh can be seen strutting his stuff wearing a a leather peaked cap, grey ruffled bomber jacket, which reveals his bare chest and a pair of leather trousers.
The post was met with a flurry of approval from Josh’s fans with one posting: “You really rocked it this year.”
Josh is seen sporting a rather fetching pair of rose-strewn dungarees complete with long black nails.
And in another, the Londoner wears heavy black eye make-up, braces and trousers made of silk flowers.
The stylish looks are a far cry from the sporty Josh of MAFSUK, who married sports journalist Amy after being matched by the panel of relationship experts on the latest season of the show.
In a rocky start to the relationship, Amy was over an hour late to the wedding and Josh, who also took part in E4’s Shipwrecked in 2019, almost got cold feet at the last minute.
The couple went on their honeymoon to Mexico but there wasn’t much fun in the sun as Josh accused his new wife of being “needy”.
Amy said she was worried her husband was “emotionally unavailable” and refuted the claim that she needed lots of attention.
The pair then fell out over a pillow in the bed and it seemed like this was the start of things to come.
In last night’s episode the pair did not appear to be getting on.
The E4 dating series showed the couple coming to grips with sharing a kitchen and stocking a fridge in their homestay, but it soon escalated into a huge row.
Speaking to the camera crew, Josh says “I don’t think anyone should have to put up with like mood swings or anything, it’s not really fair on the other person, especially when they’ve done nothing to cause it.
“I’m actually reaching the end of my tether.”
Another clip shows Amy storming out of the kitchen and also walking away from the camera crew as she says: “Look, I’m not f**king doing this!”
In the final commitment ceremony, both Amy and Josh had decided to stay in the experiment – despite having many ups and downs.
Married At First Sight UK airs Monday – Thursday at 9pm on E4.
