A shopper has praised the parents of a young girl in Aldi

A shopper has praised the parents of a kindhearted little girl who approached him in Aldi.

The “sweet little girl”, believed to be around five, saw the man in need of help as she shopped with her parents at the store in Bidston, Wirral, Merseyside.

He was so grateful for the stranger’s act of kindness that he took to Facebook to say thanks and to spread the “great lesson” the girl’s parents had taught her, the Liverpool Echo reports.

Writing in a public Facebook group, the man said: “Just been in the Aldi in Bidston and dropped my wallet at the checkout without realising.

“A young girl about 5 years with her parents handed it back to me. What a great lesson taught to their daughter.

“Hope she buys some sweets with the pennies I gave her.

“Many many thanks again, Parents.”

People across Wirral were overwhelmed by the little girl’s kindness and by the way her parents have raised their child.

One person wrote: “Absolutely fab. What a lovely little girl. Brough up properly. God bless you an ya mam.”

Another said: “Brilliant. I’m sure she will enjoy her money you gave her. I’m sure her parents are proud of her.”

Someone added: “How lovely x restores your faith in the community.”

Another person wrote: “Well done to the little girl and to her parents who are teaching her so well x”

A man wrote: “Honest person, that’s good. Don’t have a lot of those people now.”

Someone commented: “Well done beautiful little girl and your parents for being so honest. Brought you up the right way. You will go far in your life, little one. So proud of you.”

The man from Aldi added: “I certainly would like her parents to see this and let her schoolteacher know what a sweet young girl she is.”
