Peter and Emily have given a rare insight into the inner workings of their happy family life – that includes their four children; Junior, Princess, Millie and Theo
Peter Andre and his wife, Doctor Emily MacDonagh, have ruled out any more children – as they have their hands full looking after their current four.
While 48-year-old Pete and Emily have two further children together – seven-year-old Amelia ‘Millie’ Andre and four-year-old Theodore ‘Theo’ James Andre – who are half-siblings to Junior and Princess.
Peter and Emily have been married since 2015 and say that they are loving the current balance of family and work life that they are enjoying now their children are all growing up.
Giving a rare insight into the family life they enjoy as a six, Emily told OK! magazine if she would be looking to expand the family even further.
She told the publication: “No. I’m not thinking about any more kids at the moment.
“I’m really enjoying being a mum and my work. The last year and two years I’ve really enjoyed my job and I love the time I can give the kids now.”
She continued: “I love babies, don’t get me wrong. But I was watching Millie talking yesterday with Theo and I thought ‘If I have a baby, it will be so hard to do this.’ And I think actually the other kids would end up missing out a bit.
“So, for me, it’s just lovely how it is now. I love giving them all my focus and attention. I just don’t think the dynamic is right for a baby at the moment.”
Emily went on to share some of her favourite heartwarming family moments she has witnessed between the children.
She said: “I think the sibling bond is lovely. They are so sweet together. Like, Millie will go and have a sleepover with Princess and she will go up and sit in her room, basically, for the night and they will watch a movie together.
“Princess will do like a face mask on her. It’s just so adorable! And we will send Pete the pictures of the girls in a mud mask on and they love it.”
She went on to admit that the two youngest siblings can sometimes test her patience – and hinted Junior has the most calming family on the four brothers and sisters.
Emily explained: “Millie and Theo have a really close bond. They also argue all the time which – that’s what drives me totally nuts.
“And then Junior, he’s so sweet with the younger ones. When he comes back in, he will come home and they are like ‘Junior!’ And there are kisses.”
Emily – who is a doctor as well as a busy mum – went on to admit she does at times find the balance of juggling work and family life a little draining.
She said: “I’m just tireder, basically.
“But then, do you know what? I used to just go out all the time in the evenings. I don’t do that any more… when we first met, we tried to make each other think that we were really fun and we would go out and it lasted for about a month and then we were like ‘Oh no! Let’s not do that any more.’”
