Cheeky Strictly Come Dancing star Rhys Stephenson has dished the dirt on what goes on in the group chat – but some of the axed stars have already left
The Strictly Come Dancing stars may seem big and shiny but they are just normal people like us.
And just like us norms they love having banter in a group chat, which can often get rather cheeky.
Rhys Stephenson was the first to reveal some of the secrets from within this year’s crop’s WhatsApp group – dishing the dirt on what goes on.
The CBBC presenter confessed that Bake Off winner John Whaite is ‘very naughty’ on there and regularly shares jokes and funny tidbits to his castmates to give them all a much-needed boost.
When asked who was the “naughtiest” in the contestant’s WhatsApp group, Rhys told Heat magazine: “Oh, definitely John Whaite, he’s the naughtiest. He’s the one that makes all the jokes, and his sarcasm is so funny.”
Rhys also revealed that Olympic gold medal-winning swimmer Adam Peaty was “really funny” as well, because he shares hilarious gifs and memes to his fellow celebs.

The TV star said the great camaraderie between the contestants has helped them to talk about how they’re feeling, and what they’re struggling with.
Rhys said they “let each other know we’re all going through the same thing”, and joked that he sometimes feels like a “sack of potatoes” during training, especially when they start a brand new dance on a Monday.
However, the group has dwindled in numbers as some of the axed stars have already left.
Another contestant to lift the lid is Dan Walker, who revealed some stars quit right after they were booted out of the competition.
The BBC Breakfast star claimed the content on the messaging group ‘will never see the light of day’ as he vowed to remain tight-lipped about what had been discussed.
However, he did share that some contestants had decided to quit their messaging group directly after they exited the show.
Dan said: “We started off with all 15 [contestants]. Most who have left [the show] have stayed in the group.”
While Dan refused to name the stars that have quit the messaging group, fans speculated that ex-EastEnders star Nina Wadia, who was fuming to be first out, and comedian Robert Webb, who left the show early on health grounds, were possibly among the quitters.
When asked if he could reveal who had decided to quit the group, he teased: “I can tell you nothing!”
