Rylan Clark-Neal says he has “been through enough” over the past 12 months as he jokes that he’ll be unable to slyly slip out to the shop at the garage at midnight in his dressing gown now there is a “petrol drought”
Rylan Clark-Neal says he has “been through enough” over the past year.
And the “petrol drought” has left him unable to sneak out to his local garage in his dressing gown at midnight.
The presenter split from his husband Dan earlier this year, and at the time he said he regretted the “number of mistakes” he had made, which he says led to the end of his marriage.
Now, Rylan has been left feeling frustrated by his inability to head to the shops late at night in his nightwear as people race to petrol stations at all hours of the day in a bid to secure fuel after a claimed “shortage” of supplies.
Writing on Twitter to his 1.6 million followers, he shared: “I’ve been through enough this year.
“Really don’t need this petrol drought to make a sly trip to the M&S garage at midnight in a dressing gown taken away from me tbh.”
Rylan recently returned to work, after taking a break from the spotlight to process the end of his marriage to Dan.
On his first show back on BBC Radio 2 earlier this month, Rylan thanked his fans for all their support through the tough times.
“It really is me. Welcome back to Rylan on Saturday,” he told listeners.

“You are listening to Rylan on Saturday and it is good to be back in the seat and a massive thank you to Vernon, to Gary, to Oti and to Cat Deeley for keeping this seat and my little baby lovely and warm.
“When we’re allowed I’ll give you all a big cuddle. Thank you so so much.
“Secondly a massive thank you to you, the lovely listeners and thank you for all your lovely messages.”
Rylan confirmed his split from Dan back in June, where he admitted he was “trying to take each day at a time”.

“Following reports about Dan and I spending time apart, I feel I have to speak out – as the way it is being reported is unfair,” he said in a statement at the time.
“I have made a number of mistakes which I deeply regret and have inevitably led to the breakdown of our marriage.
“I am trying to take each day at a time and would like to thank you to everyone for their support and for respecting our privacy at this time.”
