The sister of a man who died in a motorbike accident has paid a heartbreaking tribute to her “legend” of a brother.

Father-of-two Michael Maxwell, 26, died in a motorbike crash in Swansea on August 25 when his Kawasaki bike collided with a Ford Transit minibus, WalesLive reports.

In a tribute to Michael, his sister Sarah said: “Swansea has lost another good one. Another legend. My little homie. My brother Michael”.

She added: “Don’t want to write this and don’t really know what to write. There are no words. The morning of Wednesday, 25 August, my younger brother Michael Maxwell died tragically, in a motorbike accident, aged 26.

“My mum and dad, brothers, family, his partner, Amy, friends and anyone that knows him are all truly, truly devastated and heartbroken.

“The main thing holding us together right now is Mike’s two beautiful babies, my niece and nephew Ayla and Zion.”

Other tributes from family friends and people who knew the young man have poured in to support the family. Many described the loving father as a “lovely, kind, caring young man, a pleasure to be with” and “loved by every single person that knew him”.

Within his sister’s tribute, the family have welcomed anyone who knew Michael to pay their respects at the funeral.

“Mike’s funeral will be held at Morriston Crem at 2:30pm on Tuesday, 14 September. Please wear a little something bright green,” the tribute said, adding that his favourite colour featured heavily on his bike, van and business marketing.

She added: “Though inside the crematorium is capped at 60 people and has to be on invitation (due to Covid), the service is played on a speaker outside too so all welcome to pay respects. Venue afterwards will be at the Spatz in Morriston, all welcome there too”.

The family have now started a fundraiser aimed at helping Michael’s two children; Ayla who is 2 and Zion who is 6 months old. You can view the page here .
