Stephanie Davis has opened up on feeling “let down” and “emotionally exhausted” after suffering a miscarriage.

On Monday evening, the former Hollyoaks star, 28, explained that she and boyfriend Oliver Tasker, a Liverpool cycle shop worker, recently found out they were expecting a baby – but that they sadly lost the baby.

After sharing the heartbreaking news, the actress – who shares son Caben, four, with ex Jeremy McConnell – took to her Instagram Stories to share how she is coming to terms with the loss and said “everything has taken its toll” before adding that she feels that “everything is unfair.”

Laying in the dark in bed, Stephanie told her followers: “I’m feeling a bit sorry for myself the past 10 days or more, whatever.

The actress took to her Instagram Stories to tell her fans that she “feels alone”

“It’s been, I’ve just been not great, erm, I just felt let down by a lot of things but I’ll get there strong, I know I’m not alone I just feel alone right now.

“Just going to get an early night I’ve got a hot water bottle going to put that on my tummy now, thanks for all your messages.”

The former soap personality added: “I feel really emotionally exhausted, I feel like everything has taken its toll.

“Now, I feel really sad, I just need time to myself and put myself first. I really feel not great, I know it will be alright, I just need to look after myself now.”

Detailing her thought process when she began bleeding and worried she was suffering a miscarriage, Stephanie continued: “You hope it’s not real when you start bleeding but it is a really really sad time and I feel really down.

“Just feel like everything is unfair at the moment, really unfair, so unfair. I just need some support and that and I’ll be alright.”

It comes after Stephanie explained she was grieving the loss of a pregnancy with a post on Instagram alongside a video of her taking pregnancy tests before getting a positive and sharing the news with her partner.

Steph wrote: “Why I’ve been quiet.

“Didn’t know if to post this or not just felt so lost recently. Is it no ones business, or should I share my sadness or just keep It in and feel sad and alone like I do. As my followers I guess you know me pretty well. It was in fact your messages about my bad skin change, my heavy curry intake, random food and hormones that made me check… I was pregnant.

“We only told close friends and family as wanted to wait till the 12 weeks safety mark even though I thought of course it would all be fine. I was so happy. Unfortunately I started getting pains and was under the hospital were they were keeping a close eye on on me.

“Scans and lots of bloods later I had the dreaded phone call of the hospital saying that my levels were dropping drastically, and sadly my pregnancy is no more. Then it was just the waiting game to start bleeding and loose what I dreamt about and was so happy about.

“I finally thought I had my happy ending. That’s why I’ve been quiet and today the dreaded pains started really bad. I made this video that Ol and Cath actually had a good laugh at at the time when my hormes were all over the pace, it gave them a good laugh watching me watch it on repeat sobbing with my hormones watching it over and over lol, but I loved it. My hormones were all over the place while I sat and re watched it over and over crying happy tears. I wanted to end the video telling Caben he was going to have a brother or sister but we never got that far…”

She added: “I was so excited to finally get to enjoy very second of my pregnancy and it be a happy thing, I never thought I’d have the strength to go through another pregnancy as with Caben it was a horrific traumatic time, but I guess you heal and I couldn’t wait to have my happy ever after with Oliver and Caben and our baby.

“I feel all over the place right now and know I was early but it still hurts. I seen my whole future ahead of me and had my hand on my stomach every day. Just feel so lost right now and my hormones are understandably all over the place. I know one day I’ll get my happy ending but for now I just have to get through this. Sending all my love, Steph x”
