Strictly stars’ whispered comments to each other during Movie Week dances

Strictly Come Dancing’s Movie Week saw the remaining couples take on film-inspired dances in a bid to win the viewers’ votes and stay another week on the show. Here we take a listen to what the dancing duos are really saying when they take to the floor

Strictly: What the stars say whilst dancing

Strictly Come Dancing’s stars couldn’t stop telling one another how much they loved each other during Movie Week.

The stars’ microphones have been unmuted for Strictly’s special weekly video, posted on Twitter, where they unveil just what the celebrities and their professional dancer partners say to one another on the dancefloor.

It was an exciting week for the show’s stars, with John Whaite and Johannes Radebe receiving a huge 39 out of 40 for their Pirates of the Caribbean inspired Paso Doble. It also marked the first 10s of the series.

So there was a lot of love in the room as the celebs took on their film-inspired dances for week three.

AJ and Kai wowed the judges during movie week with a breathtaking The Bodyguard inspired routine

Kai Widdrington praised his dance partner, presenter AJ Odudu, after their dancing triumph.

He can be heard telling her: “Aww, I love you! I love you so much!”

Whilst Aljaž Škorjanec screamed “I LOVE YOU!” to Sara Davies after their Shrek-inspired Samba.

In another clip, the professional dancer can be heard telling the Dragon’s Den star: “Dig it, ta ta! Dig it, squeeze it. Zoom pa pa! Zoom pa pa! Ha ha ha ha.”

Similarly, John and Johannes impressed on the night with their Paso Doble and the dancer led from the front with a series of strange sounds as he helped John to keep the beat.

“HEY! Ka ka ta ka, kapa pa papa KA! Ta ta ta pa paka ta ka!” he told the TV chef.

There was also dance directions for Robert Webb from his partner Dianne Buswell, who danced a Quickstep to The Muppet Show Theme from The Muppets Movie.

The microphones can hear her saying: “Heel, toe, toe, toe. Toe, toe, heel.”

At one point, Gorka Marquez even woofed at the four judges – Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse, Anton du Beke and Craig Revel Horwood – as he and Katie McGlynn danced an American Smooth, inspired by Cruella De Vil.

However, it wasn’t a good night for Gorka and the Coronation Street star, who crashed out of the competition during week three.

Craig was up first to give his verdict, and he decided to save Judi Love.

He said: “Well I think both couples did really well, and improved in the dance off itself, but there was one couple for me who shone brighter in the performance, and that is Judi and Graziano.”

Motsi also chose to save Judi, whilst Anton gave Katie and Gorka a lifeline, meaning it was up to Shirley as head judge to decide who would go through to week four.

She said: “This is always a tough part of the job. Both couples gave it their very very best, I didn’t see any mistakes from either one, both beautiful performances.

“I am going to go with the one that I felt had more edge and more rhythm to me, so I am going to go with Judi and Graziano.”
