Carole Baskin has ruled out taking part in a UK reality show

Carole Baskin has revealed that she has no intention of appearing on any more reality TV shows following last year’s stint on Dancing With The Stars stateside.

The 60-year-old Tiger King star has often been tipped with taking a spot on one of the UK’s top contests, such as I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here, but she has ruled out accepting a call up.

Speaking to The Mirror, the activist said: “There was an awful lot of chat about people saying I was going to be on a UK show called I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here, but I strive towards veganism and so there’s like no vegetable that they’re gonna ask me to eat that’s so gross that it’s gonna make people tune in.”

She also confessed that despite the rumours, she had never actually been asked to be a contestant on any of the shows.

“I don’t know how it became such a huge thing for people to think that it was going to happen,” she continued.

“But, it didn’t happen. It won’t happen. I obviously proved that I cannot dance so I don’t expect anybody from Strictly to come knocking at my door.”

When the idea of Dancing on Ice was thrown into the mix there seemed to be a more positive response, but it still had the same denial.

“I can skate around in a circle, that’s about the limit of my ability,” Carole said.

“I doubt seriously after they saw my performance on Dancing with the Stars that anybody is ever going to ask me to dance again.”

Another show Carole refuses to take part in is Tiger King 2 and she slammed producers of the series for “putting greed ahead of saving the tiger”.

She labelled the popular series “a reality show that wasn’t very real” and said she thinks there will be “trash talk” aimed at her again in the second instalment.

Speaking about her appearance in the original seven-parter, Carole added: “When we signed the release form it was for a documentary. I don’t think what they did was a documentary.

“They don’t have any of my permission to use any of the footage they shot in the original filming for this Tiger King 2 and so I’m hoping not to see any footage of me in Tiger King 2 because of that fact.”

When Tiger King was released in March 2020 it was an instant hit with viewers. Streaming giant Netflix said 64million households globally had watched the documentary series in the first month of it being released.
