Tyron Woodley claims tattoo artist didn’t show to ink him after Jake Paul defeat

Woodley has claimed that he was ready to get the tattoo after his defeat to Paul, but the artist never showed up despite the artist’s claims she left after an hour with neither fighter willing to get the tattoo

Jake Paul beats former UFC champion Tyron Woodley

Tyron Woodley has claimed he was willing to get the tattoo inked on his body after his defeat to Jake Paul but the artist didn’t show up.

Woodley was defeated on a split-decision against the YouTube star in Cleveland, but was close to getting a stoppage when he knocked the undefeated fighter on to the ropes with a stiff right hand.

And his opponent called for him to get inked at the end of the fight after their previous agreement, in order to secure a rematch.

But Woodley has now claimed that he was ready to get inked post-fight but the artist did not “turn up” despite it being reported that she left after an hour.

“I wasn’t willing, I was waiting,” Woodley explained to TMZ Sports. “We was in the basement of the hotel waiting, no food, up late, looking stupid.

“Nah, it was not willing, it was waiting. I was waiting on him to follow through with they end of the deal.

“I should get it on my knuckles so when I punch him in the face, he’ll see how much I love Jake Paul. I’m gonna put these knuckles all across his little temple and that big ass jawline, thumb wrestling, craps, dice, spades. I just hate that he can say that because I don’t feel like he won.

“Logan, you can get it, too! They both could to be honest but I gotta beat Jake up first because that’s just something, I just hate that he can walk around and say he beat me in anything.”

Woodley claimed after the fight that he felt that he won the contest despite it being scored as a split-decision, with the punch stats revealing Paul’s dominance.

But Paul now could look to face Tommy Fury who fought on the undercard in victory against Anthony Taylor, and talks are reportedly underway for the clash to take place in December.

And Paul is determined to face a “skilled and undefeated” boxer in Fury, who he believes would be a “good sell”.

He told the ‘Full Send’ podcast: “I think Tommy Fury is at the top of that list. He’s skilled, he’s undefeated, and he’s a real boxer.

“He has like 4 million followers on Instagram which is good engagement. He has the fans from his relationship show [ Love Island ].

“It all starts with the numbers, like would the fight sell a lot? Would people actually care? I could go and fight the infamous jiujitsu guy who doesn’t shut the f*** up on social media, but it’s a hard sell.

“So after each fight, we go back to the drawing board and we’re like ‘who makes the most sense’ — can they actually sell pay-per-views? Can we sell this fight as like ‘this is a tough fight for Jake’.”

Woodley is still desperate for a rematch against Paul however, and is currently waiting for paperwork before he gets a tattoo and secures his second meeting with the YouTuber.

But Paul has also hinted that UFC star Nate Diaz could be next in the firing line for the YouTube star who is keen to continue crossover bouts in boxing.
