Alan Shearer praised Son Heung-min for his performance against Aston Villa on Sunday.
Son was superb in his side’s 2-1 defeat of Villa at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, setting up both of his side’s goals.
He found Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in space on the edge of the penalty area after 27 minutes and the Dane slotted home past Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.
Villa eventually equalised after half-time through Ollie Watkins, who turned home from close range having been played in by Matt Targett.
Only four minutes would pass before Tottenham went ahead for the second and final time in the Premier League clash, with Son at the heart of the hosts’ goal again.

He burst past Villa defender Kortney Hause and played a teasing ball into the six-yard box which Targett put into his own net.
Speaking on Match of the Day 2, Shearer said Villa couldn’t live with Son as he helped to end Spurs’ run of three defeats in a row.
Tottenham had shipped three goals in each of their last three matches but Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have stopped the rot.
“I know the Spurs players have taken a lot of criticism but when he plays like that there are not many defenders who can live with him,” Newcastle United legend Shearer said.
“He’s got the pace, the energy and he’s got the drive to get in there and get the goals and assists.
“I am such a huge fan of his and they just could not cope with him today.
“The manager was right, he was the difference and the way he stopped the defenders there. You cannot stop that. When he has got you lined up one-on-one there it is impossible.
“He is a fantastic player.”
