Aston Villa fans buzzing after Manchester United win

Aston Villa ended their 12-year wait to beat Manchester United when Kortney Hause headed home a late winner at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Villa hadn’t beaten United, home or away, since 2009 when Gabby Agbonlahor secured a 1-0 win at the home of the Red Devils, and Hause’s late goal mirrored that score-line in the Lions’ favour.

It’s successive league wins for the Lions after Dean Smith’s men dispatched Everton at Villa Park last weekend.

This is what a very happy fanbase made of the success and the performance against United.

David Wanless: One thing that really irritates me when a big team loses is that is always about “how bad” they were and not how good the opposition was!

Joe : Kortney Hause is a genuine, start-able premier league centre back, he just has two other genuine premier league defenders to compete for the place with

Khizar Jamil: I wonder who Axel Tuanzebe wanted to win today. Either way his place in his team now belongs to Hause. Great game for him today!

Villa Views: The remarkable thing about that result today was that when we had the ball, I didn’t think we passed it that well! But sheer will, pressing, physicality and a moment of quality earned it for us. There’s more in this squad and that’s really promising.
