But you may be wondering how you can get involved in the show to show off some of your baking talent.
Perhaps you’ve been inspired by this year’s finalists – sales manager Chigs, client manager Crystelle Pereira and engineer Giuseppe Dell’Anno – and want in on the action. Or, maybe you’re simply keen to impress judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith and show off your talents.
Well, whatever the reason you want to be on the show is, we’re going to tell you how to apply for the 2022 series of The Great British Bake Off.
That includes giving you information about what sort of contestant producers are looking for and when the deadline for submitting an application is. Here’s what we know.
How do I apply for the next series of the Great British Bake Off?
You can apply for the next series of the Great British Bake Off by going to the application website; details of which we’ll supply later.
There you will find a countdown clock, information on Covid-19 protocols and how you submit an application for the programme.

Not everyone who submits a form will be successful and appear on the show, but some people will.
Before you rush in and submit an application, you’ll want to make sure you fulfil the entry criteria. These include:
You must be aged 16 or over by January 1, 2022 and a resident of the UK, the Isle of Man or the Channel Islands.
You must be able to commit to the Bake Off’s filming schedule which is for 30 days over a 10-week period between April and August 2022.
You cannot work for or have a financial connection to either the Channel 4 network or Love Productions, the makers of the show.
You must not have a close friend or relative working for Love Productions or Channel 4 or anyone connected to the show.
You cannot get your work from cooking or baking in a commercial setting, such as a restaurant, cafe or shop.
If you’ve got a BTEC, NVQ or another qualification in food, baking, food production or catering you can’t have earned that within the last 10 years.
If you meet those rules, then you might be ready to apply. To submit a form, you can either apply through the website or if you want to post an application form, you need to email the email address [email protected]. You can also use the telephone number 0751 275 4340 to apply.
You don’t have long to get your form in, though, as the closing date has been set for 7.59pm on Sunday, December 5, 2021.
