“You have no markers on your house that saw what number you are and that [makes it] hard to find your house, my dude, and it unsafe, honestly.

“What if you needed medical assistance and the paramedics didn’t know your town well, come on man. Have a great day.”

Jessica explained: “We just moved in and this happened today, she’s not wrong though. I need to get some house numbers.”

One retired paramedic responded: “Retired paramedic here. She is 100% correct. Protect yourself and get some large numbers on your house and mailbox if it’s out front.

“Spray the number on your curb too.”

Another commented: “No numbers on houses is a huge problem in N.Ireland. They build huge mansions out in the country with electric gates and pools and ponds but won’t spend £10 on a number. I was at a house today number 89, to the left of it was 87 to the right was number 54. Some great planning their.”

“It’s bad enough trying to find the street, they are either missing or covered up by overgrown hedges,” said a second internet user.

Another commented: “I sometimes have to pick up people to take to appointments, and the number of houses that don’t have a visible number is unbelievable. I work in a fairly rural area, and the worst of all is the house at the end of a drive with no name plate on the gate/entrance. If I’m lucky, I find a local resident who knows everybody and points out the house I want. It’s all very well saying the postman knows where it is. He’s not going to be around at 2am when you need an ambulance, is he?”
