Derby County fans predict ‘messy’ West Brom meeting

West Bromwich Albion welcome Derby County to The Hawthorns on Tuesday evening as the latest round of Championship fixtures gets underway.

Albion are top of the league and remain unbeaten after the first half dozen matches of Valerien Ismael’s regime, but they’ll need to up their performance levels after a disappointing draw with Millwall on Saturday, a point which was married with a lacklustre display.

Derby, meanwhile, have posted just the one win in their first six matches and although they were comfortably beaten by Birmingham City on Friday night, they’ve been rather tight at the back.

The consensus among the Rams fans in the build up to this fixture is that there is a concern about how Wayne Rooney’s side will deal with Albion’s pressing style, having adopted a passing game, of which mistakes at the back cost them at St Andrew’s.

Derby fans preview Albion clash

North East Corner Ram: If you have paid up to go to West Brom on Tuesday. You certainly are a better fan than me. First proper team we will face and I’m not looking forward to that scoreline

Andrew Wilshire: I bet the Baggies and their high press can’t wait to play against this lot, they’ll think its Christmas

DarkFruitsRam7 : I’m going but not expecting anything at all. That’s when the best games can happen.

Rammy03 : They play a lot like Barnsley did last season. From what I’ve seen they’re not a side who will get the ball down and pass their way through you. We will have to deal with the physical challenge.

RadioactiveWaste : WBA 4-1 Derby. Sibley with our goal. We stay competitive in the match until about 75 minutes where we collapse and let in 2-3 goals.

Angry Ram: Messy one

Chewbacca : 4-0. Not a chance, on this earth, that we will score in this match, 100 percent guarantee.

Ramarena : I believe the term for this game is a “free hit”

Rammie : I bet WBA are rubbing their hands

Paul Watson: I wonder what fresh hell Derby will bring this week?
