Early Chelsea team and injury news ahead of Aston Villa clash

It is the time for the first international break of the season which means Aston Villa are not in action this weekend.

Instead, preparations will be ongoing for the next Premier League clash in one week’s time.

Villa travel to Stamford Bridge to take on Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea, who have had an impressive start to the season.

The Blues have won two and drawn one of their opening three games of 2021/22, with their last game ending in a 1-1 draw with Liverpool despite being down to 10 men for the second half.

Villa meanwhile have had a mixed start to the campaign, winning one, drawing one and losing one of their three games so far this season.
