Who Do You Think You Are is back for a brand new series, as celebrities like Dame Judi Dench, Joe Lycett and Joe Sugg delve into their family trees.
However, first up is comedian and Last Leg co-host Josh Widdicombe, who discovers a shocking connection to Henry VIII in tonight’s episode.
The royal link is down to his 13 times great-grandmother Lady Catherine Knollys, who is thought to have been the love child of the Tudor king and Anne Boleyn’s sister, Mary.
But what about Josh Widdicombe’s present-day family members? Here’s everything you need to know about the comedian’s producer wife and family.
Who is Josh Widdicombe’s wife?
Josh Widdicombe has been married to Rose Hanson since 2019.
Like Josh, Rose also works within the world of comedy television, not as a comedian but as a producer.
She has worked behind-the-scenes as a producer on some of TV’s biggest comedy shows and documentaries, including Live at the Apollo, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown and Paul Chowdhry: What’s Happening White People?
Rose has also previously served as a researcher for Never Mind the Buzzcocks and assistant producer for shows including Alan Carr: Chatty Man and Would I Lie To You?
How many children does Josh Widdicombe have?
Josh and his wife Rose have two children.
They welcomed their daughter Pearl in October 2017 and had their second child, a son called Cassius, in May earlier this year.
The 38-year-old comedian and Last Leg co-host opened up about his wife’s miscarriage in a recent episode of Parenting Hell, a podcast he co-presents with fellow funnyman Rob Beckett.
He said: “The reason I haven’t spoken about it is because when Rose was pregnant which came after the miscarriage, you feel like – I know this sounds mad – but you don’t want to tempt fate.
“I was just like, ‘I just want to get to the end of this.’ I didn’t feel like I wanted say, ‘but now we’ve got a happy ending because we’re pregnant again’, because you still feel like you’re part of it.
“When you’re pregnant after a miscarriage, every day feels perilous, like it could go wrong in the way you just don’t feel before.”
