The live event set in Season 7’s alien invasion storyline will see Dr Slone attempt to shut down the invasion forever and was hinted at in the Week 14 challenges as well, with snippets such as “That Mothership is coming down. Here’s everything you need to know about the finale live event of Fortnite Season 7.

When is Operation: Sky Fire happening in Fortnite?

Epic Games has informed gamers that the event will begin on September 12 at 4 pm ET.

The event playlist will go live 30 minutes prior to the start but gamers have been encouraged to be prepared to join an hour before the event starts, as these types of events can become crowded quickly. Players can join either alone or with up to 16 friends.

Any players with unclaimed items in the game are also encouraged to redeem them before Operation: Sky Fire begins as automatic redeeming of items may result in you gaining some unwanted items in the game when the current season ends.

This includes any remaining Epic Quests, exchanging your Battle Stars for rewards, collecting any remaining Alien Artifacts to exchange for favourite Kymera styles and options.

How to join Operation: Sky Fire in Fortnite?

Players can join the event through all platforms where Fortnite is supported including the PC, Android, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. There will be no replays, but players should be able to catch the Operation: Sky Fire live event recorded by content creators on YouTube and other platforms.
