I’m A Celebrity hit with same criticism as viewers watch highlights show

I’m A Celebrity was hit with criticism as it aired another episode of the best bits from the hit show after campmates were removed due to Storm Arwen.

The castle has been abandoned with the celebrities placed back into quarantine while producers try to repair the damage caused by the fierce winds.

With no new footage to air, ITV issued a statement revealing Ant and Dec would present a show of highlights from previous series.

But viewers said it had backfired as they said it made them realise how much they missed the Australian jungle.

Some even called for this year’s show to be abandoned after it was hit by a celebrity exit and then cancellations in the first week on air.

Thomas Brooks added: “Any more off days and just call it quits”

While Louise agreed: “I think they just need to sack I’m a celeb off this year. It’s been a tad s*** so far #ImACeleb.”

Keir McCumiskey commented: “Fair play, #ImACeleb is an absolute farce this year. Time to rethink the format.”

Grace wrote: “Watching this #ImACeleb best bits show is making me realise how much better it is in Australia. Praying it ends up back there someday, I’m missing it!”

Adam Willis said: “Watching the best bits show and remembering #ImACeleb actually used to be entertaining with a decent diverse cast.”

Molly Dunne added: “Tonight’s #ImACeleb jungle fever episode just proves that I’m a celeb belongs in the jungle and not in a castle.”

Roz Laws wrote: “This doc with #ImACeleb highlights only serves to point out how dull this year’s is.”

James Young said: “These #ImACeleb best bits looking back at past series is better than watching the current disaster series.”

Santa added: “Thee Welsh versions aren’t a patch on these proper Aussie jungle ones. #ImACeleb”
