Married at First Sight viewers in tears within minutes of show starting

Married at First Sight viewers were left in tears within minutes of Thursday night’s episode starting after one of the participants revealed they had been left heartbroken by three tragic events.

Tonight it was the turn of two new couples to get married and the experts paired sports journalist Amy Christophers with Joshua Christie.

There were some immediate doubts from viewers over the pair’s relationship.

They were particularly worried about the age gap with Amy being 34 and Josh 26.

And viewers were just hoping he wouldn’t leave Amy even more heartbroken after she opened up about a horrible year at the start of the show.

Amy revealed she had suffered though three life-changing events recently.

Tearing up, she said: “Spirituality…II got into it by having all these things happening to me and just needing to have hope.

“In September 2018 my finace just decided he didn’t want to be my with me anymore.

“Then I worked through with that and I got someone else.”

But she revealed the relationship ended before they knew she was pregnant with twins and then she lost one of the babies.

Amy added: “One died and then I had to medically terminate the other due to medical complications, and that honestly broke me.”

She went on: “For me the last straw was my mum had a stroke.”

Viewers were left in tears at the heartbreaking story.
