The current jobs up for grabs at Amazon and how much they pay

Amazon is one the biggest employers in the world and there are lots of opportunities to join the multi-national company on both temporary and full time positions in the West Midlands.

The American Logistics giant has a number of sites in the West Midlands including Birmingham and the Black Country and its huge distribution site in Rugeley, Staffs.

Pay starts at a minimum of £9.50-an-hour and Amazon offers lots of perks including private medical insurance, life assurance, income protection, subsidised meals and an employee discount as well as a company pension plan.

New roles up for grabs include warehouse and sortation operatives and an operations lead.

The latest positions are below.

Warehouse Operatives

Amazon is looking for warehouse operatives at a number of sites in the Midlands, including in Rugeley, Halesowen and Birmingham.

You don’t need experience, you’ll work as a picker/packer to sort, pack and dispatch Amazon parcels.

They’re offering £10 an hour for daytime shifts, £11 an hour for nights and overtime for between £14.55 and £19.40 an hour.

If you join between now and October 2, you also get a £1,000 sign-on bonus.

Sortation Operative

There are lots of roles available for sortation operatives at sites including Wednesbury, Minworth and Witton.

Pay is £10 per day for day time shifts and £11 per hour for night shifts.

These are temporary positions on a flexible contract.

Operations Lead

Amazon have an exciting opportunity for Operations Lead based at Rugeley.

Applicants should have the skills and ability to coach and motivate a team to meet quality targets and productivity expectations in line with company goals.

This position is on a Monday to Friday day shift basis.

A salary hasn’t been disclosed.

External Logistics Specialist

This position could be based at any of Amazon’s Fulfilment Centres across England including Rugeley.

Remote working is an option and occasional travel will be required.

The selected candidate will work as a support to the 3PL Operations Team, reporting to the IT and UK Operations Manager and will perform administrative activities related to operations management.

Amazon haven’t disclosed a salary.
