Villa visit Vale and Blues land Everton in simulated FA Cup draw

The FA Cup third round draw is almost upon us as Aston Villa, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Birmingham City and West Bromwich Albion enter the competition alongside the other Premier League and Championship sides.

So, the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Leicester City and Arsenal are also waiting to discover their opponents.

The draw will be televised live on ITV 4 from 7pm, before the tie between Boreham Wood vs St Albans City with the sides finding out who they will be playing between January 7 and January 10, 2022.

BirminghamLive will also bring you live updates.

Ahead of the draw, we used a draw simulator – just as a bit of fun – to predict who Steven Gerrard’s men might be drawn against.

As it happened, Villa were drawn to play League Two side Port Vale, at Vale Park.

Meanwhile, Birmingham City were drawn away to Premier League side Everton.

Bruno Lage’s Wolves were handed an away tie against Championship side, Blackpool while West Brom were awarded a home tie against fellow Championship side Hull City.
